The ABC's of Columbus

The ABC's of Columbus is the latest of a television travelogue series that began in 1998. In the fall of 2001 producer Bob Walters traveled to Columbus, Ohio to capture the A's, B's and C's of that great Ohio capital. True to the series theme, host Mike Bressler creates off-the-wall antics as he tours the city citing only things the begin with A words, B words or C words. Columbus offers up the Buckeyes, the capital building (complete with ghosts) and a corvette convention. The episode also pokes fun at one way streets, Starbucks coffee and a giant Jesus light sculptures.  For fans of tongue-in-cheek humor The ABC's of Columbus is right up your Midwest alley.

Crisp Bills

Bob Walters adapted the English short story, Crispy Notes, for the screen to create Crisp Bills. He produced, directed and scored this 25-minute short film. Shot over three months in the spring of 2000, Crisp Bills stars Rich Sullivan as an obsessive compulsive waiter vying for the affections of a coworker. The film premiered in 2000. It has since been screened around the DC area as well as in Chicago. DC's City Paper heralded the director of Crisp Bills as "passionate and almost obsessive about his avocation". (City Paper, 11/00).

The ABC's of Las Vegas
The ABC's of Cleveland

The ABC's of Cleveland and The ABC's of Las Vegas are the first two parts in the ABC's travelogue series. With host Mike Bressler, The ABC's series takes on these two cities and once again defines them with A's, B's and C's. Cleveland offers up the Cleveland Convention Center (triple C), The Basement Bar, and public art. While Las Vegas gives us green beer (it was St. Patrick's Day), call girls and Bugsy Seigel's Flamingo Hotel.
